Dr. Louise Thompson is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years of high-acuity nursing experience and more than 8 years specializing in clinical psychiatry across both inpatient and outpatient settings. Based in Georgia, she has extensive experience in telepsychiatry across multiple states, as well as in correctional and private practice environments, providing comprehensive mental health care to diverse populations.
Her clinical expertise includes psychotherapy and medication management for a wide range of psychiatric conditions, including PTSD, ADHD, substance use disorders, maternal mental health challenges, addiction, schizophrenia, and bipolar disorder. Dr. Thompson takes an evidence-based, holistic approach to care, thoughtfully balancing psychotherapy with conservative and effective medication management strategies.
